I've just looked at the cover, and now I knoe why it was cancelled. It was on Fox. Anything good they get, if it's anything new, different, and sure to be great, they get rid of early on. That's right, I'm still bitter about Firefly. Fox and ABC are not to be trusted! Ever! Brian Fuller has no luck whatsoever, does he? He has amazing ideas and does them well, yet they never last remotely the amount of time they need. Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me(Which I've only partly watched so far, so if anyone's seen it through please don't spoil me)...*sigh* Admittedly, the writers strike pretty much killed Pushing Daisies. It might have made it otherwise, even with ABC not advertising it and randomly switching around its times, but that's not what happened.
Why is anything remotely sweet, wonderful, and/or original almost always promptly and efficiently destroyed? More of a problem is why the heck do craptastic reality shows survive and outlast something actually worthwhile and intruiging?
And, this may be random at this point, but I miss my mountains. I really miss the train noises too...not too close, just barely noticable. A distant, comforting rhythm. tchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchk....*sigh* I sortof want a tape of that. No whistles, bells, or anything like that, just wheels on the tracks. (Oh goodness, did I say tape? I totally meant CD...or mp3. Hahaha...I'm not old.
Happy note: I'm fairly sure I successfully wrote a couple of sentences in German today. That means I haven't forgotten nearly as much German as I have French! More than I really expected to remember after this long, really, so yay!
Jetzt will ich zu Bett gehen. Ich bin sehr muede und ich moechte schlafen. Ich moecthe auch mehr Saft. Ich mag Saft.
Now...I can't think of anything else to say, and I've already rambled, so I'm gonna go. Good night! (And please forgive the ramblings of a tired student.)
